About Lab Art Library

What is Lab Art Library?

The Pearson Custom Lab Art Library is an online archive of illustrations and images that you can use in your own original labs at no charge. This online resource has been redesigned to enable you to:

  • search for, view and select illustrations, and
  • create a master list of all tables, images or illustrations you wish to use in your custom lab manual, including your own original images as well as copyrighted 3rd Party images.

When completed, print and send a copy of your Illustration List, along with a hard copy and electronic files of your original labs to Pearson Custom Publishing when you submit your materials for publication.

For further information, please see the Submission Guidelines posted on our www.pearsoncustom.com/labcenter website.

How do I use it?

  • On our Browse page, you can browse for illustrations by keyword or filename, or by clicking on major topic areas in chemistry and the biological sciences. Clicking on the title of an illustration expands it to full size for easy viewing. Click in the check box next to each illustration to select it. Use the links at the top of the page to add the names of all original or 3rd-party illustrations you wish to use.
  • On the Edit Sequence page, enter the titles of your labs. Then click-and-drag the lab titles and entries in your Illustration List into the correct sequence. This Illustration List ensures that all of the in your custom lab manual are displayed in the correct order within each lab.
  • On the Label, Number and Save page, assign a label and number to each illustration using any naming convention you choose. Give your Illustration List a name and save it. You can go back to preceding pages to make edits, changes or deletions if you like. Review your completed list, and then print it out. You have the option of saving it in Word or Excel format for further editing.
